This Sunday, we look at another very interesting Old Testament Book of Wisdom, the Book of Proverbs. This is no book of commands, but a book of recommendations and signposts, ways of knowing whether or not you are following the path of wisdom. In the final chapter, the book shares wisdom about a "Capable Wife." The test might seem old-fashioned, even patriarchal, but we will discover how this ancient text offers us a portrait of women who lead and live in wisdom.
