This Service of Lament is for all who are grieving the violence and division in our country. This service is not about telling you what to think politically. It is not about choosing sides. It is about acknowledging something very human and very biblical: we are losing one another, and that loss deserves to be named.

In Scripture, lament is not a lack of faith. Lament is faith that refuses to numb itself. Lament is love that tells the truth about pain. So in this service, we are creating space—for grief, for sorrow, for anger, for confusion, for powerlessness.
