As we celebrate the graduation of six high school students this Sunday, we are inspired by an amazing, and somewhat terrifying, story from Matthew 14:22-33, with the disciples out in a small boat on the Sea of Galilee, battered by wind and waves, suddenly spotting a ghost-like figure coming to them over the waves. It turned out to be Jesus! He says, to them as to new graduates, and even to us, "Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid!" And the adventure is only beginning!
