Friends, it is our last Sunday in the Lord of the Rings Lenten Series and our Journey to Mordor, Golgotha and beyond. Ooohhh!

We started our journey in the Shire, gathered companions for the task to destroy the One Ring, wrestled with temptation, were called to wake up out of our dull daydreams and realize: yes, small deeds done by everyday folk can change the world. And all that helped us to better understand our faith and what Jesus did for us. And now we celebrate. [Children gather to “destroy” the ring!]

The Ring is destroyed, as Jesus has destroyed the power of sin in our lives. Jesus conquered the grave and there is new life for everyone. On this Easter Sunday we want to reflect with the lens of Gandalf, what this resurrection of Jesus means for us, and also how this can change our daily life here and now.
