In our passage from Luke, Jesus calls Simon Peter, James and John to follow him. Therefore our journey today in this service leads us into the heart of discipleship. The call to follow Jesus is not just an invitation; it’s a challenge—one that asks us to let go of the things we cling to most and trust God with our whole selves. How come they were able to leave everything behind, right away? And what about us? Do we have to do the same? As we prepare for worship, I invite you to reflect on what it means to you to follow Jesus? What do you have to leave behind?
