For six sessions, we have journeyed through the strange and beautiful world of Revelation. We've met beasts and dragons, emperors and martyrs, heavenly songs and earthly empires. At times the images have been unsettling, even confusing. But beneath all of them, John has been proclaiming one simple truth: God is still on the throne. Today we reach the climax of that proclamation. The powers of evil are finally brought to an end, and even death itself is defeated. Revelation is not about fear. It is about hope. It is about trusting that no matter what darkness we face today, God's future belongs to life. Today we hear how evil ends. Next week, we will discover what begins.
