The Masks We Wear 4 "FEAR OUT OF CONTROL" | Pastor Damian Carruthers | October 25, 2026

Batman is a very different superhero from Spider-Man. Bruce Wayne doesn't get bitten by a radioactive spider. He doesn't have supernatural powers. What he has is money, technology, a lot of determination and a whole lot of unresolved fear.

In Batman Begins, we'll discover how fear shapes Bruce Wayne's life, his decisions, and even the mask he chooses to wear. But we'll also ask what fear does to us. How does it shape the way we see the world, the way we treat others, and the choices we make? And what does it mean to trust God when life feels frightening?

Because perhaps the opposite of fear isn't power or control. Perhaps it's trust.
