As we approach Christmas, we reflect on one of the most profound truths of our faith—that the Light has come into the world, and the darkness cannot overcome it. Our theme today, drawn from the Gospel of John, invites us to look beyond the nativity scene and into the cosmic story of a God who dared to step into the darkness of this world as pure, radiant love. John doesn’t give us shepherds or a manger—but he gives us poetry. A hymn of light. A Word made flesh.
