LOVE BOLDLY | Rev. Amanda Nicol | May 3, 2026

May 3, 2026    Rev. Amanda Nicol

We are in our third week exploring the new vision of the Council of Bishops. In the first week, we asked what it means to follow Jesus with purpose and intention. In the second week, we explored how we are called to grow together as a community of faith and what it means to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. And today… we take the next step: Love Boldly.

Sounds beautiful and maybe just a little intimidating, right? Where do we even begin? How bold is too bold? And what if it costs us something? Jesus keeps it simple and challenging. We are defined by love. Not safe love. Not convenient love. But bold, risk-taking, sometimes uncomfortable love. The good news? We don’t have to figure this out alone. Worship is where we practice. Together. We sing, pray, listen, and remind each other that God’s bold love is already at work in us. So today, we lean in together. We take a step—maybe a small one, maybe a brave one—into loving like Jesus. Because the truth is: we already have everything we need. God’s love has been given to us, and it is more than enough.
