Ronda Cordill takes us back to Gethsemane, where Jesus, deeply grieved at the future he knows he must choose, brings his closest friends to pray with him. They fall asleep, and he faces His Father alone, praying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not what I want but what you want.” And again, “My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.” As we share Holy Communion, we enjoy the fruit of His willingness to follow His Father's will, as we drink deeply from the Cup of Life!
