Friends, today is a day of celebration. A day of resurrection. A day of hope breaking into places where we thought nothing could grow anymore. And today is also the final step in our Lenten journey. For the last several weeks, we have been doing something a little unusual:

We have been giving things up… not like chocolate… but bad theology! Things we thought were true about God… but actually make faith smaller, harsher, or more fearful.

And on Easter of all days, we are letting go of one more: the idea that faith is just about “getting saved.” Yes… I know… bold choice for Easter. But stay with me. Because Easter might not be about escaping life… but about entering it fully.
